National Legislative Council for the Dept., of CA.; National Media and Communications Committee for the American Legion; Area 5 District 1 First Vice for membership; National Legislation Council for By-laws and Constitution; Life member of American Legion Post 519 @ 400 N. Belardo, Palm Springs, CA. 92262 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Parliamentarian and Sgt.-At-Arms for the Hispanic American Police Officers Command Association. New position for the Dept. of CA. Area 5 National Security Commissioner for the Amerian Legion.
– REPORT that he just came back from the Dept., of CA. Quarterly Meetings for the Executive Meeting.
– DISCUSSION of the Olympic Games and the infusion of pride in America w/out a political perspective. The Unity.
– DISCUSSION of his new position for the Dept., of CA., Area 5 National Security Commissioner for the American Legion and his duties. He monitors the conditions of Military families on military bases and how to improve those conditions for Veterans.
– REPORT on how important Blood Drives are for our Veterans..
– DISCUSSION of the story of a veteran names Robert. i.e. did 2 tours in Viet Nam, totally disabled Vet., couldn’t get into the hospital. Joey got a call because Robert is a “Joey Pal” and contacted Amado who took it from there. Amado reached out as National Legislative Council and made some strategic “late at night” calls and finally Robert is @ Scripps and has had the necessary surgery. COMMUNITY for our Veterans.
