PALM SPRINGS ART MUSEUM w/ Scott Slaven re: re: 101 N. Museum Dr. P.S. 92262.
– REPORT on the Art Party Gala that was held Jan., 28th. Great success. Honored Phillip K. Smith.
– REPORT on the new exhibition by Palm Desert artist, Phillip K. Smith featuring “light” in all his works. “Phillip K. Smith III, Light and Change” there until May 7.
– Tajh Rust exhibition will open Feb., 16. Part of the Outburst Project Residency Program.
– REPORT that since Feb., is Black History Month there are events throughout the month that are appropriate.
1. Thurs., night Museum admission is FREE due to City of Palm Springs. Different events; a play “The Other Side”, a performance by a rapper, lecture by a playwriter. Register on-line. Food by “From the Mark”.
2. Feb., 2 – March 5 – “Resistance” exhibit of Afro-American Artists.
3. 3rd Sunday of Every Month is “Family Plus” FREE from 1 to 5 PM. Events/crafts etc.,
