MY COLLEGE FAIR w/ Julio Omier re: Presented and supported by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Julio is the Assistant Principle for R.M.H.S.
– DISCUSSION on what the duties of a Vice Principle really are.  To prepare students for beyond high school.  HELP THEM MAKE A PLALN.
– DISCUSSION of his educational background. He has a doctorate in educational for social justice. How to support students and their goals.
– REPORT on how the relationship w/ parents is @ R.M.H.S.  Believes in mutually supporting the kids.
– REPORT on his perception of how parents feel after having students at home for SO LONG.  Focus on the positive.
– REPORT on the FREE virtual www.mycollegefair.com event. Talk to students and parents and the need TO MAKE A PLAN.
– DISCUSSION that research shows that you should start “talking” about college in elementary school.
– REPORT on the most popular studies to go into now.
– REPORT on the Café Academy and the Race Academy @ R.M.H.S. so students can think of vocational opportunities too.
– DISCUSSION of “shared leadership” for parents and students….AND TEACHERS/COUNSELORS.
