D.O.H.C. w/ Dr. Brian Hodgkins re: Executive V.P. of Clinical Operations @ D.O.H.C.; 275 El Cielo Rd., Palm Springs, 92262. “Your Health, Your Life, Our Passion”. Leads the COVID-10 Taskforce.
– REPORT that we are in our 79th week of Pandemic.
1. REPORT that 99% of the virus in the U.S. is Delta.  Seeing it in younger kids, even 4 and 5 years old. When they start vaccinating children under 5, they will get the same dose as an adult.Delta will be around quite a while.
2. REPORT that viruses in-between Alpha to Delta to Mu are still around too, but are not considered a virus of concern. Not developing in the U.S. really.  The current vaccine has efficacy over these variants.
3. 75% of the U.S. is vaccinated w/ @ least one dose.
4. VOTE for the Desert Sun’s “Best in the Desert” for D.O.H.C. in all the categories they are nominated in.  ESPECIALLY THE IMMEDIATE CARE category. Indio, Palm Desert, Palm Springs and Yucca Valley are the 4 Immediate Care locations.
5. REPORT that on Sept., 20 everyone that has been vaccinated SHOULD GET A BOOSTER. D.O.H.C. will contact the 30,000 folks that they vaccinated originally. Do NOT have to be a D.O.H.C. member. Especially if you have some compromised health concern.
6. DISCUSSION that on Sept., 20 you can get your COVID BOOSTER AND your flu shot the same day FOR ANYONE.  Drive-ins/Walk-ins too.  Appointments @ www.myturn.ca.gov.
7. REPORT that almost all hospitalized Covid patients are NOT vaccinated.
– DISCUSSION of the 1918 Pandemic of the Flu virus and that parts of that virus are STILL around to a certain extent.  Flu season didn’t really ‘show up’ last year.
– REPORT that IF YOU GET COVID, as soon as you are RECOVERED, GET YOUR SHOT.
