– She’s a nurse-practitioner and head of the Center for Weight Loss Management and a bariatric surgery patient.
– DISCUSSION of who is eligible for bariatric surgery.
– Changes and advancements in bariatric surgery @ DCN. Insurance implications.
– All their procedures are done robotically now. Hospital and recovery times are drastically reduced.
– DISCUSSION of the gastric sleeve procedure @ DCN.
– DISCUSSION of support groups @ DCN for lifestyle changes, because the surgery is just one part of that. Stomach can begin to stretch out again if new habits aren’t embraced.
– REPORT on follow up for patients @ DCN after their surgery.
– DISCUSSION of how the patient interacts w/ the rest of their family after their surgery.
