– CDC wants us to have a Safe and Sane Thanksgiving. LOTS OF INFO up on the website.
– REPORT that only Delta Variant is present in the U.S. As it gets colder in the country, folks go inside. Virus “active” for 7 to 10 days inside. Starting to see positive tests in vaccinated folks.  Mostly the older population that is vaccinated, but not “boostered”.
– REPORT that the State of CA. leads the nation in low infection rate.  We have the fewest number of new cases in the nation. Best performing state. Fewer folks in hospital. 40 this week.
– REPORT that Riverside County is “boostering” the heck out of everyone. If you are 18 and over can be “boostered”.  Wanning benefit of the original vaccine.
– REPORT that testing number are up. 400 tests per day all over.
– REPORT that there was a recall for some of the “at home” tests that had too many false positives.

3. Are hand sanitizers bad for you? (The ones that use a form of alcohol (methanol) that use poison, yes.)
4. What is the #1 symptom of Covid now? (Sneezing).
5. Will the oral therapy be made of different chemicals than the shot for folks allergic to the show? (Yes, different components.)

PEGASUS RIDING ACADEMY w/ Jennifer Heggie and Vail Horton, Ex., Director, re: 35-450 B. Pegasus Court, Palm Desert, CA. 92211. Presented and supported by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

– REPORT on mission statement: Serving children w/ disabilities.  Put them on the 7 horses they have and they gain confidence.  It’s 39 years old.

– DEFINITION of how riding a horse “helps”, “affects” children from 3 to adulthood. Agility activities.

– REPORT that they have more demand than facilities and staff.

– REPORT from Vail who was born w/ out legs and one arms.  He was born and raised here.  New Executive Director of Pegasus.  Married w/ 4 children.  He is able to do all the normal things, i.e. drive etc. He doesn’t use prostetic limbs now, gets around on a skateboard or scooter.

– DISCUSSION of what confidence he gained from Pegasus, even to the extent that he competed in shows.  His extensive business background and speaking endeavors.

– PLEA for volunteers and donations.  They need 100 volunteers a week!!!

3. Is the banking rule about reporting your deposits over $600. An invasion of privacy? (No. Your choice. IRS wants things property reported).  Do your tax returns TWICE.  1st time conservatively and then the 2nd time aggressively and then SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE.
4. Are you be accountable if you see a crime AND DO NOTHING? (No. It is not illegal.  You DO NOT have to report a crime if you see it.)

– REPORT that Cannabis is alive, well AND LEGAL.  Cannabis lounges are opening up everywhere.
– DISCUSSION that different cities have different rules for having cannabis lounges. i.e. next to restaurants where you can order food in the restaurant and eat it in the cannabis lounge.
– REPORT that she is consulting in the industry. Helping to open dispensaries.
– DEFINITION of CBD. A non-psychoactive part of the plant. THC is the psycho-active part.
– REPORT on two parts of plant; hemp plant (completely legal, cannot be sold in dispensaries, does NOT to be tested, has NO THC in it) and the cannabis plant (Needs to be tested to be sold. Has THC in it)
– REPORT that you need to do your research and go-online and go to knowledgeable folks.
– REPORT that she will be based out of a dispensary locally and doing FREE educational classes.
– DISCUSSION of the benefits of cannabis for VETERANS. Cannabis products can be very helpful and until recently if a Vet had THC in his system he could LOSE ALL HIS BENEFITS.
– REPORT that the legal CBD is good for pain, anxiety, PTSD, phantom pain, depression, sleep issues, etc. in VETERANS and all folks.
– REPORT that some dispensaries have “compassionate care” programs if finances are a problem.

– Report on Covid pounds that we all have gained. Because all the gyms have been closed. Things are getting better weather-wise etc.
– DISCUSSION of children and obesity. The rate is higher than in other countries.
– DISCUSSION of how the “chain” w/ Mom @ home was impactful. Some people took the extra time @ home to get MORE HEALTHFUL. Need to get more active together, get off the “devices”.
– DISCUSSION of “sitting is the new smoking”. EXERCISE. Even if you are working @ home.
– DISCUSSION of what the “timing” of your meals should be during a day. How “late” should you eat?
– REPORT that sleep patterns are very important when trying to eat right.
– DISCUSSION of the amount of sleep people really need. The value of napping.
