– HER ISSUE TODAY: What to do when you’ve gone thru all the tests and you’re going to the doctor for a diagnosis, the doctor says that there’s not much to do about it. NONSENSE.
– REPORT that you need a doctor who will “dig” into the underlying issues.  Over 100 types of dementia.  Alzheimer’s is the most prevalent.  YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF DEMEMTIA your loved one has. i.e. SCANS of the brain.  You can be on the margin of something that is not diagnosed and then you need a neurologist.
– REPORT that EVERY form of dementia has different symptoms AND different life-spans.
– REPORT that is your doctor is hesitant, get a definitive doctor/answer.
– DISCUSSION that DHC WANTS to help and support you.  CALL THEM.
– DISCUSSION of how to handle a situation where people disagree about sending a loved one to a “care facility”. ELIMINATE THE FEAR.  There are usually many more good years there are ahead of someone in a “care facility”.
– REPORT on how DHC investigates all these facilities on a regular basis and narrows your search for you.  WHEN YOU FIND THE FIT, you get to return to being the patient’s “loved one” and now you have to be into “care management” SOYOU ARE STILL INVOLVED.

– DISCUSSION that if you pre-arrange and pay for everything, you really DON’T NEED ANYONE to make ANY decision when you pass away.
– REPORT that you cannot require someone to pay for your funeral if you have not made this arrangement in advance.  AND people need guidance on what you want done.  Relieve your family of this stress.
– DISCUSSION of how the price of a funeral is determined.
– DISCUSSION that the Covid Pandemic has caused people to deal w/ their mortality a bit more.

TOUR DE PALM SPRINGS & COACHELLA VALLEY w/ Tim Esser. Re: Esser Air @ www.esserac.com and (760) 324-0550.
– REPORT that the 24th “ride” started back on Jan., 31, 1998.  It was a bike event in P.S. that would allow local cyclist to ride 5, 15, 25 and 50 miles.  300 cyclists rode in the first event. We had 6 or 8 volunteers.  NOW WE HAVE 2500 volunteers. Was known as Spokes for Different Folks.
– REPORT that riders come from 44 states and 3 or 4 countries.  Usually 10,000 riders.
– HOLD THE DATE; Sat., Feb., 12 for this year’s rides that starts @ 6:30 AM and the last walk/ride starts @ 10 AM. w/ bagpipers from the P.S. Air Museum.  Can sign up starting @ 7 AM.
– REPORT that the start is @ Tahquitz and S. Palm Canyon w/ cheerleaders and a band when you return.  Also drum lines etc.,

– REPORT that CHINA’s death rate from COVID is the best in the world, BUT the U.S. is second only to Brazil in being the worst!!!! We here in the U.S. have NOT vaccinated as well as Europe.
