– DISCUSSION of heat and the physical impact the temperature can have on a person AND on animals. Hat, sunscreen, plenty of water. If your urine is almost clear you are hydrated.
– LATE BREAKING NEWS about the new therapy the FDA has approved for the treatment of Alzheimer. ADUCANUMAB. Expert panel DID NOT approve the drug. Didn’t believe the drug showed ANY benefit in slowing the progression of the disease. Controversial because amyloid plaques that are measured by an MRI need to be affected by this new drug and IT HAS TO BE ADMINISTERED INTRAVENOUSLY. Be given to patients already diagnosed w/ the disease. Has some side-effects of course. i.e. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
IT WILL COST $56,000 per year per person.
– REPORT on the D.O.H.C.’s “40 for 40” campaign you need to vote on. D.O.H.C. is giving away an additional $40,000. to 10 different charities. Vote on the non-profits in the running to receive the funds @ www.mydohc.com by June 28th. Winners will be announced on July 1, the 40th anniversary of D.O.H.C.
