NEURO VITALITY CENTER w/ Bev Greer re: C.E.O. 2800 E. Alejo, Palm Springs, CA. 16 years of doing this.
– REPORT on being “in the Orange Tier”. Desert Regional Medical Center brought over staff to NVC and vaccinated the clients. Therefore on 4/23 there will be a FREE Vaccination Clinic FOR ANYONE put on by DCN @ NVC. NVC will help w/ logistics. Go thru www.myturn.ca.gov to book your shot.
– REPORT on why Desert Regional Medical Center liked the NVC facility and opted to do more vaccination clinics there going forward.
– REPORT that their services and meetings will go forward in both VIRTUAL and IN PERSON scenarios soon.
– DISCUSSION that NVC is under the umbrella of the CA. Department of Aging rules and regulations.
– DISCUSSION that many clients are comfortable doing the virtual class. Also, the virtual classes enable the NVC to reach people ALL OVER THE WORLD.
– REPORT on the programs that will be available as of June 15, when there will hopefully be no tiers. i.e. bingo, arts and crafts, etc.
– REPORT that people get to NVC by themselves, bus and taxi services, bus, etc. folks w/ strokes, TBI, chronic illnesses, mental, Parkinson, etc.
– REPORT that you can “self-admit” or go thru a doctor’s referral.
– STILL one of the only organizations of its kind in the world!!! Open 8 AM – 4 PM virtually Monday thru Friday.
